The Lightning Network is a second layer built on top of the main Bitcoin blockchain. It enables faster micro-transactions using ‘off-chain payment channels’.

The idea behind the Lightning Network is that smaller, everyday transactions need not be stored on the main Bitcoin blockchain and without worrying about confirmation times. It opens up an instant, cheap, peer-to-peer Bitcoin payments that aren’t possible anywhere in the current financial system.

Zebpay is the first large exchange to have the Lightning Network integrated as part of our quest to #SetCryptoFree.

We currently only support Sending through Lightning. Receiving is not available as yet.
