Registering a bank account is the first step that you need to complete before initiating a Fiat Deposit. You are only allowed to make deposits from a registered bank account. 

To ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, it's crucial that the ZebPay account you register is in your name and is an Individual Savings Bank account. Please note that certain account types are restricted from registration as mentioned below. 

Type of accounts not allowed

  • Joint bank account
  • NRE / NRO Account

Add a new bank account

Here are the steps to add bank accounts:

To comply with statutory guidelines and facilitate efficient account management, we permit only one bank registration for all your Fiat transactions. Should you wish to change your registered bank account in the future, kindly note that you'll be required to delete the existing bank account and register the new one.

Step 1: Go to the 'My Account' section

You can access this by tapping the 'menu' icon on the top left corner of the screen.

Step 2: Tap on Bank

You will then see the bank account registered with us. The green tick-marks against the bank account indicate verified accounts. If there are no banks registered, it will give you an option like below to add the bank.

You can only add new bank accounts here if no banks are already registered.

Click on the button 'Add Bank'.

Step 3: Add your new Bank Account details

Add the required details as mentioned in the screen.

Please ensure you capture the correct information in these fields as it will be validated at the time of verification.

You will also need to upload one of the following bank documents as proof of ownership:

  • Cheque
  • Bank Statement
  • First page of bank passbook

All of these documents have to clearly show the account number, account holder's name, bank name and IFSC code.

Step 4: Click on 'Save bank details'

That's all that you need to do. Our system will then auto-verify your bank details. If there is an issue with the information you entered, the system will not be able to complete the auto- verification. It usually takes 20-30 minutes to complete the auto-verification.

Cases failed in Auto-verification will be manually validated by our customer service team and it will then be verified / rejected basis on the validation status.

Delete an existing bank account 

Deleting a registered bank account is just as simple. Once again go to the 'Bank' section by following the steps as before. 

This time, select the "Delete" button (depicted by a bin icon) next to the listed account, then click "Confirm" to proceed.


And you're done!

Important Note:

  • You are allowed to register and maintain only one bank account for your Fiat transactions at a time.
  • Changes to your registered bank account are permitted once per month and up to four times per year.
  • Tfter adding or changing a bank account, there will be a cooling-off period of 24 hours during which Fiat and crypto withdrawals will be restricted.
